Feast of St. Nicholas

On the evening of May 7th takes place in a big costume parade, which commemorates the arrival of the bones of the saint in Bari, on the morning of day 8th his statue is carried in procession to the port and placed on an altar between two fishing boats dressed with flags, as designated fate. They go to sea and followed by hundreds of boats at anchor some distance away and stay all day, half of visits by devotees and pilgrims.
