Historical parade
April
The parade commemorates the meeting between the Duke of Atri Andrea Matteo Acquaviva, lord of Bitetto, and his family including James, which today remains the incorrupt body at the Shrine, then became the Shrine of Blessed Giacomo.
The Friar foretold the Duke that would have been saved despite the participation in the conspiracy of the barons against the Regent. In gratitude, the Duke, in just one night , let's made a straight road that connects the sanctuary to the country.
The city historically revisits the event, through the parade and the faithful reproduction of Renaissance clothing worn by the Duke and his Court.
