The flats of “Villaggio Vecchia Mottola” are old houses of the 13th century and 18th century built in the labyrinthine streets of the called “Schiavonia”, the old and suggestive historical centre of Mottola. These bedsits have barrel-vault and mezzanine floor. For several years in these houses people have lived with the whole family in the way that “Mottolese” dialect calls “Alcuova e Camarin” where on the upper floor of the house slept children and on the lower floor slept their parents considered the caretakers of the family.

Mottola is well-known not only for its “ Rupestrian Village “ but above all for its good cooking thanks o a lot of “ Restaurant”, “ Pizzerie “ of this country.

The typical structure where you can taste typical products such as “ricotta”, “affettati” , “mozzarelle”, “provoloni “ is the masseria where you can find a geniuine meat to eat too.
