The B&B Villa Liberty is sited in a characteristical historical building, that has been completely renovated. It is situated at a ten-minute walk from the shopping centre, at 5 minutes from Porta San Biagio (in the heart of the historical centre) and at 10 km from the seashore of San Cataldo.

Lecce “City of Art”, also known as the “Florence of the Baroque”, was founded by the Messapians. During Roman times it took the name of Lupiae. After Byzantine occupation from the 6th century AD until half of the 11th century AD, the Normans took over.
The elegant city of Lecce, in the heart of Salento, opens its ancient doors, showing its 17th century churches that are decorated with the marvellous pietra leccese (white stone, typical of Lecce). The material is also used for houses (and other buildings, the roofings of our Villa Liberty for example) and can be admired throughout the whole historical centre. It comes out at its best seen behind a blue sky, or at night when lit by the characteristical street-lamps.
Lecce doesn’t have a strategical geographical position, but it is the cultural, spiritual and economic centre of the entire province. Besides the splendour of its monuments it has beautiful landscapes: sea, beaches, cliffs, countryside...everything that is needed for a lovely vacation.
Salento, land of mixed cultures (Messapian, Greek, Roman and Byzantine), wrapped up in sour scents coming from citrus fruits, tobacco and aromatic herbs, surrounded by two turquoise seas: a land that offers its guests new emotions, over and over again.

Toll-free motorway Brindisi-Lecce (about 3 km)

Follow direction railway station-police headquarters. Once you arrive at Piazza Del Bastione, turn to the right in Via Francesco Calasso. Go straight ahead for about 400 m; then turn right for Piazzetta Arco di Trionfo. Immediately turn right again taking the Viale Dell’Università. Go straight ahead passing by Via Giustino De Iacobis, Viale Gallipoli, Piazza Nicodemo Argento and Viale Marche. After about 600 m taking Viale Vittorio Alfieri. You will find the B&B at few metres.

Railway station (about 1 km)

Driving away from the station go straight ahead on the Viale Oronzo Quarta. At the traffic lights turn to the right in Viale Gallipoli. Continue straight ahead passing by Piazza Nicodemo Argento and Viale Marche. After about 600 metres turn left taking Viale Vittorio Alfieri. You will find the B&B at few metres.
